Bison Word Patch

$ 5.99

Bison are as symbolic of the Great Plains as they are of the need for land and wildlife conservation.  Once numbering in the tens of millions, bison nearly went extinct by the end of the 19th century die to  their wanton slaughter.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park reintroduced  bison from the Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge to the South Unit in 1956 and the North Unit in 1962.
