Membership

One way for the public to engage with the mission of our organization is by becoming a member.

Membership contributions enable TRNHA to support and fund educational programs, historical preservation, and scientific research in Western North Dakota. For 74 years, our membership fees have meaningfully impacted various projects at Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site.

Funds have been utilized in several ways, including:

  • Assisting the National Park Service with educational and interpretive programming, as well as producing printed materials.
  • Supporting new and ongoing resource management research and initiatives.
  • Developing trail guides, books, and other educational products to enhance the public land visitors experience.
  • Hosting special events like hikes, bird walks, and photo contests.
  • Educational programs offered to groups, schools, and communities.
  • Assiting in operating the Painted Canyon Visitor Center located in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
  • Enhancing and updating National Park Service visitor centers.
  • Purchasing Junior Ranger supplies for the National Park Service.
