Mission
Theodore Roosevelt Nature and History Association's mission is to support and fund educational programs, historical preservations, scientific research in Western North Dakota, enhancing the public’s understanding and enjoyment of its unique landscapes and cultural heritage.
Over the past 75 years, TRNHA has provided aid to the National Park Service through various projects. Thanks to funds from memberships and bookstore operations, over $2 million in aid has been shared with the National Park Service.
In our 75th year of existence we are expanding our mission and spreading our wings to support Western North Dakota.
Some of the projects that have been funded in the past include:
- Support for resource management research and activities in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
- Assisting the National Park Service by purchasing free publication and providing printed materials and badges for the Junior Ranger program.
- Developing and producing trail guides, books, and other educational products to enhance the outdoor enthusiast experience.
- Hosting special member events such as kids in the park, birdwalks, hikes, photo contests, and more.

Since 1951, Theodore Roosevelt Nature and History Association has provided over $2 million in aid to the National Park Service.
